Pentagon Says Nearly 4,000 More Troops Heading to Southern Border

The Pentagon announced Sunday that 3,750 troops additional U.S. troops will be sent to the southern border to aid in border security operations. Troops will work with Customs and Border Protection to install 150 miles of razor wiring between ports of entry as well as assist with mobile surveillance. “We will continue to evaluate the force composition required to meet the mission to protect and secure the southern border,” the Pentagon said in a statement.
