Whitaker Went Mum on Talks With Trump Over Cohen, Nadler Says

“Unlike in the hearing room, Mr. Whitaker did not deny that the president called him to discuss the Michael Cohen case and personnel decisions in the Southern District” of New York, Representative Jerrold Nadler told reporters Wednesday after two hours of closed-door questioning. Nadler had demanded that Whitaker meet with the panel to resolve what the New York Democrat portrayed as contradictions in Whitaker’s public testimony before the committee on Feb. 8.
